This weeks question is:
Your house is going to be on one of those home makeover shows. What room do you want done? What do you want done to it?
We live in a studio apartment with a fairly spacious main room that is sort of L-shaped. You could actually divide it into one regular sized room and junior bedroom.
But if the makeover show was at the door now, their assignment would be the bathroom. It's very long, narrow & old-fashioned. Actually I want it to be even more old-fashioned looking; the wooden toilet tank with the pull chain, a new clawfoot tub (mine is an original), wrought iron shelving, pedestal sink, the tile would be black & white check.
I'm thinking lavender and a pale mint green for all the towels, curtains and such. The non-tile portion of the wall would be smoothest white.
Even though the look would be old school, there would be lots of modern extras.
What else do you want this week? Share it all.
All I want is to get all my half-finished projects done!
May you all get what you want this Wednesday & always.

If you could only have one section of the bookstore to visit, which section would it be?
Okay we're going to file this one under hardest question of the week, no make that the month.
These days when I go to the book store I tend to drift over to Social Networking, Blogging & Web Design first.
After that it's Writing, Self-Help/New Age, Current Non-Fiction, and then finally a browse through the latest chick lit.
So which do I pick in the end? WRITING
If you could only subscribe to one publication for the rest of your life, what would it be?
I currently don't subscribe to any publications. Why? Well, because the two major bookstore chains let you sit in the cafe and read anything for free. Please note that this lady allows makes at least one purchase at said cafe as thanks.
In the past I have subscribed to UTNE READER & Writers Digest. Oh and Cosmo, but way back during the Helen Gurley Brown era.
What activity always makes you lose track of time?
Surfing the Web.

1. You’re offered your own late night talk show. If it were completely up to you, what would you the name of the show to be?
Up Late With Frances - as in you are "up late with Frances"
2. Which actor or actress would you want as your first guest?
3. Which comedian would you want as your first comedy performer?
4. Which musician or group would you want to be the first musical performer on your show?
Meatloaf
5. Which existing song or melody would you select for your theme song if writing something specifically for your show wasn’t an option?
I Want to be Loved by You (just the melody)
6. Suppose you could magically go back in time and bring back any performer of any kind, living or dead, to be your first guest: who would you select?
You know I have often imagined having my own talk show, and who the guests would be.
I always wanted to see George Carlin perform live, but was always too busy. Then one day the granddaddy of cool was gone. If I could have any performer as my first guest it would have to be the great GC.
I would also want to do a show with some of today's top bloggers, and one about writing featuring Natalie Goldberg.

1) About how many hours a week do you spend watching TV?
It's usually on for what I call background. I grew up in a household of TV addicts. The living room set went on at 6:30 am when Grandma got up, and went off when Daddy went to bed at around 2:30 am.
I watch it on and off as I do other things. I mostly 'watch" the Internet.
2) If you have a day off, do you like to sleep in or get up early?
My aim is to sleep in, but as I get older it is harder to do. I tend to be up early like it or not. Yesterday I got up at 8:30 but went back to bed, and 'slept in' till around 10:30-11am.
During the winter months I liek to be out earlier in the day, because I want to catch the light for photostrolling.
3) If you could exchange work space--not job assignments, just desk or work area--with someone at your job, with whom would you switch?
One of the prerequisites to getting me to work for you is that I choose 'my spot.'
4) Show and Tell. What comes to mind first when you see this picture? Or, tell a story if it reminds you of one.
It reminds me of that favorite plaid dress that I wore to death back in the late 70's/early 80's. I had lost a lot of weight, and bought myself a whole new wardrobe. One of my favorite dresses was a woven cotton plaid, very similar to the photo. It was a very simply cut, that I loved wore in the summers with tan sandals & a matching belt.

Growing up, what was your favorite sitcom?
I can't pick just one.
All That Glitters - It didn't last long, but it made a great impression on me.
Maude - What can I tell you? I love strong women.
What's your idea of a romantic date?
Delicious dinner with conversation, followed by drinks in a quiet lounge & more conversation.
What are you most afraid to lose?
My beloved daughter.
